April Showers

Hi Madame!  The last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic!  I had to put up my print for the exhibition, then put it up again because the tutor told me to put it in the wrong place!  David's job ended so he has had the last few weeks off which would have been awesome but we didn't have a car for the first week because david sold his and didn't get another one for a week and now it's been raining nonstop! :D That's luck for you I guess.  I have to go back on Friday to take down my print as well.  Should be fun getting that giant thing back to David's house from london! haha  And I managed to get rid of my flat! Which is awesome because it saved me a lot of money but I ended up having to move out in one day which was pretty insane :D Hopefully after this week the weather will clear up and we can go places and have some fun!  We managed to book a second wedding to take pictures at the week after the first one! which is awesome but i'm sure will be a bit stressful.  I hope the last few weeks of school go well! I'm looking forward to taking pictures of Garrett this summer as well :)
Would the 25th of July work for his pictures? If not let me know what day around then would be better :)

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks

I ordered my exhibition print yesterday and it was so beyond expensive I wanted to die :D I'm hoping someone really rich just comes up to be and wants to buy it haha
Have an awesome spring break!! :)

Bonjour!

Hey Madame! It seems like forever since I've done an actual blog post! probably because it has been :D But here are some of my pictures from Madrid and whatnot that I thought you might enjoy looking at even though we both know that France is better than Spain :D  I will start with some of my film pictures I took while I was there. They are all from one day because we did most of the touristy things then.

This was a church in madrid, I can't remember what it was called though.  I think it's fairly new.

This was just a funky looking tree I liked in Retiro Park.

This was also in Retiro Park, I don't know who the statue is of I didn't bother to look, oops :D

This is the statue from a boat we went on in the lake in front of it.

Some random yellow flowers that really aren't that interesting :D

This is the palace in Madrid which isn't that impressive. And it was very easy to access on this side there wasn't a gate or anything you could just walk right up to it.

The church during the day

Another angle of the palace.  It was right on the edge of the city so you could see the mountains from it which was quite cool.

These are back to digital again,  these were some random dresses that were on sale at the El Rastro market.

Some swanky shoes

a bike.

This was some location scouting for one of my project pictures.

Retiro Park again but this time with a digital camera ooooo

This was a random open window in the palace

This is the church at night. we got there right when the sun was setting which was awesome the colours were really amazing

This is from another market we went to which was quite similar to Borough Market in london but I loved the stripes on the orange.

Some macarons!

Me and David rowing a boat.  I was quite impressed with my rowing skills :D

These are some of my project pictures.  I did the project on experiencing the city through the five senses so each of these is suppose to represent one of them.
This one is sight.

These ones are suppose to represent touch.

This was an extra one for smell.

This is the actual one for smell.

This one is hearing. It was very difficult to do and it's a bit weird but oh well :D

This one is my favourite and it's taste.  I am going to display this one really large for the exhibition next month at school :)

And finally, These are some pictures from a wedding me and david went to this past weekend for one of his friends that got married.  It was a verrryyyy swanky wedding.  It was in this mansion/sculpture gallery.  It was outrageously expensive but very enjoyable to attend :D The below picture is me showing off my impressive dance moves :D

And this is just me and David.

I think that about covers the last few weeks of my life :D The next few will involve getting ready for an exhibition and starting to market my senior pictures for this summer.  I am also hoping to move out of my flat in April to save myself about $3500 in rent :D  I've got a person coming to look at it today so fingers crossed that goes well!  I hope everything is going well in Indiana. I hear the weather is really nice there recently.  And spring break is next week WOOOO! :D

Embrassez Moi Je Parle Francais!

Do I get a hershey kiss now since I'm technically no longer in French? :D

I've been thinking about making this post for about a week yet and I was afraid I would forget to do it!
I think I said before that I would upload some of my project pictures so you could see them so here they are :)

This was the first place we took pictures.  It was about 7 or 8 in the morning and it was absolutely freezing cold because it was on a hill fault so the wind was crazy!

This is me being a dork in my ridiculous outfit before we started setting everything up :D

The wind made my dress look like MC Hammer pants :D

This is David in my "set up" shot to show where the lights and camera were :D

I will warn you now that this project might be a bit weird for you :D  but basically it's my own version of a fairytale but with the original not happy ending :D

Oh yes and I've also made a new website for Seniors this year which is here if you want to take a look :)
http://www.wix.com:80/katielynnm/photography
And I'm working on brochures again, bleck, it's taking me forever and I still have to do all my college work as well sheesh :D

Have a good Valentine's Day :)  I hope you have fun hearing all the people try to speak french today :D

A Very Cold Weekend in London

I thought I would send another little update your way today as I have a bit of time before my assessment :D  It was extremely cold in London this week and especially this weekend.  It actually snowed on Saturday night! It's probably the first and last time of the winter here.  When David and I went to Trafalgar square on Saturday the fountains were completely turned to ice!  Unfortunately I couldn't be bothered to bring my heavy, dead battery camera with me so I don't really have a picture of that :D
Yesterday David used my camera to take some pictures so I thought I would share some of them with you :)

This is what it looked like from my room in the morning.  I love all the yellow lights in the windows :D

This is me in St. James's Park where we walked to from where I live which is not close at all! But at least I had wellies on while david had a tennis shoe full of ice water :D

And here's David in the snow (he was acting like a child, I didn't know it was possible to love snow as much as he does :D)

And this is towards the end of the snow adventure where we were playing around with the funny mirrors on the underground :D

And finally this is from Saturday when we went out and you can kind of see the icy fountain in the background.

So that was pretty much my weekend.  I attempted to watch the superbowl last night as well but it didn't end till 3 a.m. and I fell asleep at 1.  I think the weirdest thing I've ever seen was Indianapolis on my tv screen in London :D
I hope you have a good week!
