Bonjour!

Bonjour Madame!! It has been way too long since I last updated this blog! I have been so busy with uni and trying to plan our 'wedding' haha! I have finished uni for this term and am now on break and finally have enough spare time and focus to do this :D
I hope you, Garrett, and Greg are all doing well! I saw the picture of Garrett in the snow the other day! I am so jealous of the snow you guys are getting over there! Garrett looks like he is loving it :)

I think the easiest way to do this is just post the pictures and annotate them, so here we go!

I will start with our trip to Yorkshire! This was a view from the train on the way there :)
After conquering the highest walk we did on the first day
We took some cheesy panoramas as well
David bought a hat and thought he was Indiana Jones/sheep farmer
And then he decided to put it on this friendly horse
This was from a walk on a much sunnier day, one of the few from the trip!

our very 'stylish' boots haha
The view from outside where we were staying the night before we left

The best dessert I ever ate! It was a chocolate chilli tart with peanut brittle!
After we came back from Yorkshire, we decided we needed to get in shape so bought new shoes! I have actually been running for the first time in my life for a couple of months now!
I finally had to go back to uni at the end of September. This is taken from the roof of the Oxford Street campus.
Then we got a kitten! His name is Boris, not our choice, David's dad named it!
He is cute but very hyper and into absolutely everything, particularly computers!
We made homemade paella and it was amazingly delicious!!
We finally set a date for our wedding and bought a stamp to prove it!
We shot a house brochure for a real estate agent and he sent us the 'book' with the pictures in! This house is going for £1.5 million!! It's crazy
We made some delicious pumpkin muffins with cream cheese frosting!
We've gone for many photo walks in the woods
We went out for Thanksgiving this year because David was working all day and I was at uni so I couldn't cook. I had the very traditional meal of pizza :D
We then had a slightly more traditional dessert of homemade pumpkin cheesecake when we got back
We got a lovely tree and picked out all the decorations ourselves and I must say I think it looks pretty tasteful :D
I met up with my french friend Camille because she is moving away after next week and we ended up riding a carousel and a ferris wheel!
This is the view from the ferris wheel :)
And here's another one, this one taken with 35mm film
Then Uni finally ended!! After my hand in, David and I went around London looking at Christmassy things

Then we tried to take a picture together and David made this face :D

At the weekend we made some delicious sausage rolls!
And yesterday we went to Ashridge where David proposed to me last year to celebrate 1 year since then!
It was such nice weather, really sunny and foggy at the same time
We had some nice soup
Then took a walk during the 1 hour of daylight that was left (It gets dark here at 3:30/4!)

Finally, here is my uni project from this term. I'm not a huge fan of it but oh well! I took pictures of a footwear designer's shoe collection for her MA degree. They were very weird and difficult to photograph, but also quite fun!
My favourite part of the project was making a stop motion, which is below!
The quality of the video on here isn't very good, a high quality version is here: https://vimeo.com/79028220

I think that pretty much sums up the last few months for me! I haven't been up to all that much outside of uni. I hope you are doing well and that you Garrett and Greg all have a wonderful Christmas!! :)

Summer!!

Hi Madame!!! It's been so long since I've done a blogpost! A lot has happened since I last posted (I've moved twice! haha) I've loved all the pics and videos you've sent me of Garrett, I can't believe how big he is getting! I can't wait to see you both this summer for Garrett's pictures!! I love getting to document him growing up each year :) I hope you have fun on your holiday in Florida. I would have loved to come along and document that but I am back for such a short time this year I can't fit it in. :(
I hope you are enjoying your summer break so far as well! I am looking forward to getting back to the US and finally having some warm weather, it's still freezing here!

Anyway here are a few snaps from my phone of the last few months.
Zipline fun with Bonnie

Evening stroll with Bonnie and David
Yummy Caprese salad!
Awesome American Diner in Brighton! (we went there to view a wedding venue but don't think we are going to use it as it's £1,000 for a shed basically and you can't even get legally married there!)

On the way back in the Dartford tunnel
HOMEMADE PIZZA! My favourite!
Me and my team for my fashion editorial shoot this term!
Moving home, again! We are housesitting in Brixton for 4 months :)

It even has a fireplace!

And a teeny tiny garden to soak up the very rare sun :D
Me and David :)

Day out on the Southbank with David at Burrough Market

Free PB&J Ice cream!

Sunday treats during my lunch break at work with Camille! The cookie was massive!

Peony that David bought me at Burrough market! It's my favourite :)

Chocolate orange cheesecake we made for David's mum's Birthday

Multicolour shoes!

And now on to my university projects this term! I did a 7 page fashion editorial that was based on graffiti in Brick Lane/Shoreditch area of London. And my second project was a Superdry Advertisement for their perfume. I sent it to Superdry and they liked it so much I get to go to their headquarters on Monday and watch a photo shoot!

Mock Superdry Ad for Perfume

This editorial is going to be published online by a magazine in the next couple weeks!

Whew! that was a long post! I have my last day of work this weekend and then David and I fly back next weekend! Looking forward to seeing you this summer! I will be in touch closer to the time of Garrett's pics but if you have any questions in the meantime or ideas just let me know! :)
